From corporate ladders to hidden treasures

After 30 years in retail management, navigating everything from grocery stores to funeral homes, I decided it was time to manage myself. Welcome to The This, The That & The Whynots! Where there are certainly a lot of "Whynots!" Stick around and follow my new adventure. I buy liquidation and undeliverable pallets, digging for the coolest treasures for you to buy. There’s nothing quite like a pallet of brown boxes and not knowing what's inside. It has its ups and downs, ins and outs, but trust me when I say it is interesting—words can't explain sometimes!

The thrill of the find: what makes a 'whynot'?

What's the most exciting or surprising thing I've ever found? Well, let's just say I got banned for posting it! But on average, I find everything from automotive parts to hardware, DIY kits, sheets, and pillowcases. Each item has its own "WhyNot" story, transforming from forgotten inventory into a cherished find for someone new. It's the unpredictable nature of the hunt that keeps things exciting and ensures a diverse collection of treasures for you.

Our passion for quality and transparent sourcing

I don't just spend seconds or minutes on each product; I dedicate significant time to researching every single one. From proper descriptions to checking numbers and recalls, I ensure every item meets our standards. If I don't feel passionate about an item, it gets repurposed to the scrapyard. I test what I can, and although I don't always have all the capabilities, I remain fair with prices and policies. I believe in 100% transparency, wanting you to feel confident and excited about every purchase you make from The This, The That & The Whynots.

Our goal: connecting forgotten treasures with new homes

I'm not looking to make a million dollars. My purpose is to find things people didn't want, forgot about, or simply changed their minds about. I want to put these items into the hands of people who can truly use them. That's my goal! To build a destination where the thrill of the find is matched only by the reliability of the person behind it. Why settle for ordinary? WhyNot shop with an expert?
